Whippets Lazarus
Alek, Pecik, Hepi, Sara & Kreyzi... & Sita... They passed away
Our adventure with the whippets started in November 1985 when, quite by an accident, a white, little whippet coming from the kennel of Ms Anna and Mr. Pawel Lampe arrived at our home - Ch ALVARO Andzi Chatka "Alek"

As Alek was growing we learned all about the qualities of this little, modest sighthound. It would be him to teach us how to love and how it is to be loved by this breed. Alek has always been is a great partner, friend, companion. Our kids adored him as well as he loved them. We tried our luck starting to show him. It was a pleasant surprise that together with the qualities of a character he had also the qualities required by the standard. Alek was such a charming dog that we decided to start popularizing this breed, and we planned to buy a breeding bitch to found a kennel.
*The first female whippet we bought came from a kennel in Sopot:
Ch.HAPPY GIRL Aviaticus "HEPI"- red.

She was born in 1990 and was a mother of our 3rd litter Lazarus "Z" - the only "racing type" litter we've had.
*In November 1991 a black and white female from Denmark arrived to us:
Ch.Bynkemarken`s ZARAH LEANDER - "Sara".(page)
She was then a mother of the first, polish whippet female Interchampion to be - in the "L" litter, and also mother of the fourth litter "Abis" Lazarus, and the sixth one "U" Lazarus.
* The next imported female was
Ch.Club Winner'92 Eikjhor HIGH SEAS "SITA" from Sweden.

She is white with markings. The nature just wanted her to mother only one of our litter - litter nr2 -
"A" Lazarus She is a mother of the famous A-HA Lazarus, the first male, polish whippet Interchampion.
In'91 we welcomed at our home
KREYZI Bacillus "KREYZI" . The daughter of our "number one" Alek - and she became our family's toy. * In May 1991 we also bought another male, also from Denmark who then became the leading sire in Poland of the years 80/90:Ch. Coastwinds Rider EYECATHER "Pecik" -

he his a father to 150 babies in Poland and abroad.
*In 18th of June 2000 from Finland came to us on Ch. Woodbrook`s WAROTH "RIKI"

Although still very young Riki proved to be a good sire and a valuable part of our dogs' family.

Our 1st litter "L" Lazarus was born in February 1993 and the mother was SARA and the father was a Swedish sire NIPPYS CADETT. Four females were born from this mating. So we can say that 1993 was the beginning of the LAZARUS kennel (though the name Lazarus was registered a few years earlier).
... and so we have landed on the beautiful planet of whippets called Lazarusladia...
